We live in a time and age when most Christians don’t know why the believe, or what is the foundation of their faith, and how to answer the skeptics, atheist, and agnostics about the validity of God’s Word.

After watching the movie God’s Not Dead, I’m sure a number of people are asking questions about the existence of God. I recommend you read the book of the same title from author Rice Broocks. Here is the interview with Kevin Sorbo with the author of God’s Not Dead.

This quote is taken from  their website.

Despite this spiritual awakening, skepticism is on the rise. A 2012 Pew Forum study found that one-third of adults under the age of 30 are religiously unaffiliated today, the highest percentage ever in Pew Research Center polling.  A 2012 Newsweek article cites “the fastest-growing segment of belief among the young is atheism.”

Offering nine basic proofs of God’s existence, this book gives a clear, understandable overview of the evidence while responding directly to many skeptical claims. “My hope is that there will be thousands of believers… who are able to defend their faith in the midst of the unbelieving culture around them,” says Broocks. “There are straightforward answers to the questions posed by skeptics, yet most believers aren’t familiar enough with them to explain them. http://www.godsnotdead.org.

Learning Apologetics Is Important

There are a great number of Christians who have not been taught or have knowledge about what they believe as a Christian. That is why we need to study to show ourselves approved and prepared to answer everyone concerning what we believe.

Most atheist and agnostics have done their study and research. It’s embarrassing when a Christian doesn’t have the answers to the existence of God and the Christian faith. Most atheists are filled with anger and bitterness. I have sat down and spokenwith a few of them before. Once they were believers but something happened to shake their faith.

It’s time for Christians to get equipped and know for a facts on  what they truly are defending. I believe it’s time that we look at the study of apologetics so that we may an answers for our faith. Most Christians are not prepared to answer the questions about what and why they believe in God.

My love for Apologetic study

For over  20 years the study of apologetics has been one of my passions and I lived to defend the faith. The only thing was that I had a lot of great information not lacked divine revelation. I feel an urgency to begin teaching and equipping believers to have the answers concerning their faith.

This website will be dedicated to posting teaching documents, videos, power points, and other resources to help you understand Apologetics. download our teaching Apologetics 101 to get a basic understanding of why it is important to the Christian faith.

What is Apologetics?

Apologetics is the branch of Christianity that deals with the defense and establishment of the Christian faith.

The word apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia found in

1 Peter 3:15 (“…always be ready to give a defense [apologia] to everyone who asks you…”). Apologia is a legal term that simply means “defense.” So, apologetics is the branch of Christian theology that is concerned with making a defense, or case, for the truth claims of the Christian faith.

But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence,” (1 Peter 3:15).

Contending for the Faith

Contending the faith is not a spiritual gift just for pastors, teachers, and parents; it is a command for all believers  Here are a two biblical passages that makes this case:

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude 3)

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. (Corinthians 10:5)

We must be study and be ready to answer those who want to know why Jesus is the only way.

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  2 Timothy 2:15

I believe there is an awakening happening that is being sparked by the movie, “God’s Not Dead”. May it challenge us and prepare the body of Christ to contend for the faith. Keep us in prayer as we prepare working on a teaching handbook on apologetics in the near future. God bless. Next article will be about the spirit of antichrist behind Hollywood and Noah.
