I want to say, Happy Father’s day to the all fathers, spiritual fathers, and fathers to be.
I wrote this to encourage men to take their positions as fathers to a fatherless generation. It’s a lengthy post but it’s much needed to encourage fathers and spiritual fathers.
When men abandoned their position as leaders especially fathers then our nation suffers greatly.
My father went to be with Jesus on September 5, 1995 on his birthday he was young and in his prime. He inspired me to be the preacher that I am today. It’s only by the help of the Lord that he has brought our family this far. He finished his race here on Earth and I have a different race to run.
Your earthly father may have passed, abandoned, and doesn’t want nothing to do with you but my God is a father to the fatherless.
A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. Psalm 68:-5-6
The word father means “life-giver.” The greatest life-giver is our Heavenly Father.
GOD AS HEAVENLY FATHER
The Bible reveals God as the Lord of the universe and calls Him “Father” in both Old and New Testaments.
He is the Father and Lord of creation. James describes Him as “the Father of the lights.” He created the stars as well as the angels.
The Old Testament names angels as “the sons of God” (benai elohim). Paul says that every family under heaven are named by or set aside for Him (Eph. 3:15).
We all need a caring human father (or an equivalent) as early as possible in our lives to help us understand what God the Father is like as a Person.
This picture caused me to get angry with holy zeal? It said “Another Fatherless day again”. Instead of praising the fathers, society looks down on fathers because of fatherless children in our county.
We have a generation of angry young men and women that hate their fathers.
Satan’s goal is to take out the man because he has the responsibility of leading. If he can destroy the head of the house he can destroy the family. The family unit is under assault and God is rising up men who said enough is enough I’m not letting the enemy come and destroy my family on my watch. It’s time for the men to reclaim his position. We need in proper leadership position to fight this battle against men.
Men have been so occupied with things that they have no time for being leaders and priest in their home, churches, and communities.
Men that are possessors think they got all together. That’s why our society is all mess up, it tells the men to be macho, you’re the boss, nobody can tell me what to do, I’m in charge of my life, my family, etc. No, God is.
What about men in the church today?
Approximately 60% of church population is female. Men we have stepped back and allowed the women to move in our place.
As Christ is the head of the church so are we as men to be head of our household. Whether it’s the family or church.
Lord ,where do we need to be? We are the men for the job.
It takes humility for thee man to admit that he has been wrong.
The mantle of authority is yours men. You have to live it, wear it, and do it in humility.
Three roles that father has in the all areas of life
• He guides
• He guards
• He governs
A Christian Father responsibilities
A Christian Man leads his house as a steward, priest, minister, counselor; he must be everything to home as what Christ is to the church.
Men it is a lot of responsibility and God made us for that purpose. We can bear it not our children nor our wives but us.
You are the minister of your home. If there is no leadership in the home men, it collapses.
Responsibility as Priests
Fathers are the priest of the homes. All families that prayer together stay together. Ministry is not just preaching ministry is prayer. A man never stops ministering; it’s a lifestyle. When he stops then disaster takes place in the home and he is detached from doing any ministry or serving at the house of God.
We must become those men that are born again, baptize in the Holy Spirit, prayer warriors, intercessor, worshipper, lovers of the Word of God, servants in the house of God, and known in the community and city.
When this occurs then the man as father takes his rightly place and the church of Jesus Christ is stronger and more protected.
Men, Fathers and Mentors
Fathers are needed today more than ever before. I am not a biological father yet but God has me on a mission to raise up and build spiritual sons that will excel beyond what I can do and say.
“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse.” (Malachi 4:5,6)
it’s time to rise up to a new level of responsibility and lead our generation back to the family unit.
A survey was asked among children who their favorite superhero was, guest which one was number one? Their dad!
Our modern youth today need fathers of good courage, heroes, men of faith and valor.
Jesus is our role model our heroes are the Joshua’s, Daniels, and Davids .
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
Reconciliation begins with God the Father
What we need is for men to reconcile to their Heavenly Father. In order to be a father you must first become a son. A man who goes to the Heavenly Father when we need help. It’s not hard but for many men, we find it difficult to do this.
My father is no longer here, He died at a young age. I was angry, confused, and didn’t think I could measure up to being a man. My father told me many times that I wouldn’t amount to anything but God thinks differently. My Heavenly father says I’m a Son of God and heir to his Kingdom. Read More Here
This is how I remember my father his life and legacy.
My father was my greatest inspiration for becoming the man of God I am today. I am the second generation of ministers in my family and I have no plans of stopping.
In the world it is referred to as “father hunger,” an empty place in the hearts of many men who never experienced effective fathering.
For them there was no man to pour into them those things that a boy needs; no father to guide them in manliness, no man to model manhood for them, to teach them how to relate to women, to affirm their own manhood. At the least such men are left with an uncertainty as to how they should live their lives as men. At worst, they lead their lives in destructive ways.
Father’s take your position and authority back.
Listen to this message I preached on Father’s Day in 2005. A timely word about reconciliation begins with our Heavenly Father. May it bless you. listen here: http://efministries.podomatic.com/entry/2013-06-11T09_27_07-07_00
God is raising up a last day army of devoted men who will not retreat or surrender.
If we can get the men in their right positions we can change the world! Fathers arise and take your place!!
